Clemson's offense in the Gator Bowl looks suspiciously like ours

A lot of short passes, right at the sticks or just short of them. Most passes out towards the sideline, not attacking the middle of the field at all.

I also notice when they do complete a pass they get back to the line quick, similar to us.

Not trying to knock our offense or our staff, but I really hope this year was just a one-off. This just isn't a good offense to watch. Watching another team do it from a non-fan standpoint, it just seems like the kind of offense that's going to constantly stall out against good defenses.
They scored way too many second half points to look like our offense

You can't throw it deep every play. The reason we throw it to the sideline is because the defense lines up 7-8 yards or more off the line of scrimmage and that's an easy 4-5 yards almost every time.

Dabo is such a jerk. Laughing & smiling while shaking Stoops hand. Classless even if it’s a bowl game.

Stoops is lucky he hadn’t already been dumped with the Gatorade bucket. Ky been known to do it too early.

Exactly. It's essentially a running play using a pass, with a designed blocking scheme. If the corners are playing off, it's easy yardage with a chance to break it for more.

I got the biggest laugh trying to figure out what in the heck Stinchcomb was blabbing about all through the game. He's gotta be the worst announcer in the game. Some of the things he brings up make me question if he knows anything above a peewee level about football. The dude is just dumb.

Stoops earned everything Dabo gave him after the game.

What do you want him do, hand Stoops a bouquet of flowers and box of chocolates then put his arm around him? Clemson just won a tight game and he was happy.

When I see what Brown is doing for the Kats, I imagine him in orange. He's perfect for our offense plus a more than capable replacement for Dee. Too bad he didn't jump into the portal....but the door's still open.
He did some good things, but his fumble gave Clemson a score and basically the game.

I don’t follow Clemson very closely but most of the time Dabo seems like a stand up guy. I know there’s some here who slander him pretty good but I’ve personally never seen it🤷‍♂️

KY a perennial failure of a program... sitting in a prevent defense. Stoops is a joke.
Can’t believe Kentucky didn’t burn a timeout to set their defense on 4th and 2 on that last drive with the clock already stopped. The whole world knew they probably run the ball and they had 2 down linemen.

Clemson's QB IMO will never be a Championship type QB like Watson or Lawrence. He didn't look good today, but he does just enough to make them think it's all going to come together but I think they're an 8-to-10-win team at best with him. Thats not bad but they will not have any runs like they did in the 20 teens.

Show some respect. Wipe the big sh-eating grin off your face for 15 secs while you shake the hand of a disappointed coach.

The jerk went full “Butch Jones” on a Fg for heavens sakeIMG_5118.jpeg

True. Still a great day for him individually. Too bad there appears to be character issues. If Bama won't take his kind of problems on, it must be extreme.

The O wasn't executed particularly well on a consistent basis. It wasn't fundamentally different from last year. Hooker was just a better operator.

If you don't enjoy watching... then you probably shouldn't watch again until Heupel leaves. Spreading the field and attacking weak spots is what he does.

Clemson learned by playing UT and has adapted some things into their O... because they saw it as effective.

Yeah, I had heard last year he would not be a fit for the Heupel culture but not sure what kind of baggage he brings.

I only watched a little of the OU vs AZ game, but from what I saw it looked like OU was copying the Vols too.
