When evaluating pitcher performance, that stuff matters more than their win loss record.

Winning baseball games matters to teams, sure. But c'mon .

I agree, I just mean winning as a pitcher is a must.

A team won't keep a pitcher if his record is 0-16, but the rest of the advanced stats are good.

Sure they will, if the peripherals are good, that means the pitcher is doing his job. Somewhere along the way, the bullpen is failing or the offense isn't scoring.

As a Dodger fan, I don't expect to see Cliff Lee in LA. It's not a bad move to put the claim in because it just makes the new owners look good to the fans, like they're really going all out. It's just something else to put them in the news.

I agree with some of that, but not the bullpen part, as a whole.

I just mean if you had the record of 0-16, it's not going to fall all on the bullpen.
If a pitcher has good peripherals then there are only two reasons he's 0-16. 1) Horrible run support 2) Bullpen sucks.
