First do you have a link to a video of her saying it, or even a respectable source saying she said it?
Second, what about it isn't true?
But Color IS a factor in this country.
Ignoring it isn't going to make it go away.
It was on 60 Minutes so I'm sure a clip exists. I saw a youtube link on google but can't look at it from work so let me know if it's not the right one.
YouTube - Barack Obama's wife plays race card on '60 Minutes'
Is it also true that I could say I have the same likelihood of being shot in my city since I'm a white man? It may be half-true but what's the point in saying it?
Thanks. After hearing it without a slanted view of the Obama's, the first thing that comes to my mind is that the crime rate for black men is high. That's a fact. More black men on average are killed with guns than white men in everyday settings such as the gas station. It's funny to me that people that dislike Obama want to bring up comments from 6 months or more ago now that Obama is the presumptive nominee. Where were your condemnations of these statements on the Monday morning following 60 minutes? Was it because you didn't see anything wrong with it until it was obvious that he was going to beat your candidate? Was it because some right leaning website or blog told you about it? I'd be willing to bet it was EXACTLY one of those scenarios other than the fact you've been stewing over these comments for all that time.
What she said is a statistical fact, but that won't matter to any of you, you'll continue to say SHE'S bringing race up, even when the WHITE interviewer asked her the blatent racial question.
I don't hate anything here and you can't marginalize something that is already so insignificant it should never be debated.

I could spew a list of fact as well regarding affirmative action. Many would paint the law in a negative light and would have seriously racist overtones, but they would still be facts. What she said is a statistical fact, but that won't matter to any of you, you'll continue to say SHE'S bringing race up, even when the WHITE interviewer asked her the blatent racial question.

I love it. He's going to beat my candidate? I don't have one, but I'll vote for who's less dangerous for the country. I would bring this up no matter who's leading in the polls, and what makes you so sure Obama is going to win? And she said it, it wasn't some vast right-wing conspiracy. You say you're independent, but the more you talk, the more you show your colors. Way to be independent.
So by saying that the members of this board....
No marginalization?
:whistling:
Call the truth marginalization if you want, but if I am wrong and simply marginalizing, then link me to the thread on this topic when she first made these comments. Link me to the thread from 6 months ago when Michelle first made the comment about being proud.
If they exist on this board, with these same people discussing them, I will never post in these political forums again.

I disagree with you, so obviously I'm what you hate most. We know, you've tried to paint me into a box all week.,
Unfortunatly for you it's not true.
You say you would bring this up no matter who was leading in the polls, so link me to the threads where you immediately brought this up when it was first said.
I'm waiting.........
