Pretty much everyone I know voted for Vol Army. I literally don't know 1 person who voted for rowdies. It's almost like it was a fake poll and they knew what they wanted the whole time haha.

Sounds very similar to the way the basketball student section was named when I was there. Nobody I know voted for Rocky Top Rowdies then, either.

Somebody in marketing must be in love with the "Rocky Top Rowdies" name, for whatever reason.

Don't let it get to you, go to the games and enjoy it. The marketing nerds will try to force it but it won't gain much traction.

I didn't attend last Saturday but I'm sure it was electric and it probably will be right up till we play Oklahoma. Give props to Butch for trying to keep the fan base intact!

From the reaction of the crowd to the announcement during the game, I tend to agree that no one's really on board with "Rocky Top Rowdies". When they announced it as the winning name.... the response was perhaps the quietest the stadium was the entire day.

It completely flopped. Like a bad joke at a comedy club - crickets...
