Clowney

Clearly he should have his license suspended, thrown in jail for two years and banned from ever playing professional football.

(And for the record, I'm intentionally ignoring the Big Orange elephant standing over there in the corner.)
Instant execution without trial

Why do I have this feeling in about 20 years or so we will be watching a 30 for 30 show about Clowney and how he was such a top player and all of a sudden is broke and living out of his car?...I hope not but he just strikes me as that type.

These are not your normal 5 to 10 miles over the limit speeding tickets. Their called wreckless driving tickets. 40 and 30 miles over the limit. The average person makes this mistake once and learns not to do it again. In less than a month he's got 2 and he's laughing and joking about it ,posing with the cops and taking pictures. Now they might not do anything to you in Kentucky or south Carolina. But in the rest of the world, a normal person is gonna get thrown under the jail.

What bizarro world do you live in where two speeding tickets, without alcohol being a factor, gets you thrown in jail?

If you have ever driven the Florida turnpike between Orlando and Miami you will have witnessed people driving close to 125 mph in a 75. I was passed once by a minivan that was doing 120+.

There are stretches of road all over the US where it would be perfectly safe to drive those speeds. There is also a reason that most cars don't top out at 85 mph, and that's because engineers have put a lot of time and research into what a vehicle should be capable of.

I'm not defending Clowney because I don't know anything about the area in which he was driving, but I'm also not going to condemn him as what he did may not have put anyone in danger.

Bray got a ticket on a Ski Doo. How in the f'ing hell do you get a ticket on a Ski Doo? Anyway Clowney, a mean ass DE with a killer instinct on the field got in less trouble than our starting qb (TB). Soak on that.

The 110 ticket is sort of tolerable. It's fast, but with the limit being 70 it was probably an interstate and that happens on the interstate. Also a lot of accidents happen in the interstate. Not many can claim atleast once they didn't do it. BUT it is wreck less.

The second one isn't tolerable at all. Almost 90 in a 55 AFTER already getting a ticket prior within weeks. It's wreck less, and shows he doesn't give a crap as long as he can afford it.

No we all don't "do the speed limit always" but I'm sure we don't go around going 30-40 over.

It just goes to show how sporadic the law can be. I got busted for reckless driving (I was doing 60 on the highway and passed into this little 40 mph speedzone - the speedzone was one of those without a school, no flashing lights or anything, you blink and you miss it, deals). I was going with the flow of traffic but had out of county tags and they were not so kind to me. Later, I was told that I got nailed by a common speedtrap in the area (I didn't know it was one) that the town uses to make $$$ off of. I'm still hopping mad over the situation.

Yes I was wrong to be speeding but 1. the speed trap isn't easy to identify and it's set up for out town rubes like me 2. I wasn't going that fast though it was technically reckless I think they should've just given me a ticket. We're talking about a highway in the middle of nowhere and no justification for their speedtrap.

I guess if you're famous and about to be rich they treat you differently.

There are a few little towns around here that will charge you with reckless and throw you in jail for speeding -- no alcohol or drugs needed. They just want your money.

Nobody is saying throw the guy in jail but going that much over the speed limit could be considered reckless endangerment. He definitely needs his license suspended. To say that these speeds are really not that big of a deal is insane.

Didn't he just get tickets? If so all he got was points.

Hotdogging is a serious crime.

I'm sure Clowney would have enough cash to avoid jail time.
