I have to say that weather man is lying througn his D*** teeth. He would be.the first one to go up to Cal and shake his hand and say thank you for coming back.

It's the reality for Memphis fans. They're not considered an elite program, historically or presently.

Oh man, best of luck.

I'm good. Im an assistant coach and I told the HC last week that I needed him to see what admin was thinking and I have another HC thats begging me to apply at her school so, it's whatever

Calling him a spin doctor is being a bit too nice.

That's a lot of coaching tho. Idk his stance about late game situations at Memphis, but his first year here he just preached that late in games he'd let players make plays instead of calling timeout and he's stuck by it. He's kind of an evil genius

Just that weatherman's outfit disqualifies him from making any statement about sports, IMO.

Truth is, Memphis can be successful, but only recently has it joined a conference that allows it to play with the big boys. The only reason it had success was because Cal cheated, and got highly ranked boys to play there, which got them preseason honors, and they had enough talent to beat some early season out of conference teams, and then cruised through an easy Conference USA schedule right into the postseason. Anybody is happy with the post season when you're Memphis.

But saying he wouldn't take him back? Laughable.

Still a ridiculously disrespectful comment by Cal.

I didn't really see it that way. He said that he appreciated and loved those places, he just in a less tactful way said what is true, and that is that those places don't have the same resources and tradition and abilities to be and stay on top like Kentucky does.

Memphis has had good years to be in the conference they were in, and they've had some talented players over the years, even outside of Cal.

But Memphis is nowhere close in tradition, commitment, and resources to Kentucky. Very few schools are.

It may not have been worded appropriately it the bow tie weatherman needs to get over himself. Calipari just stated facts. It's why Smart finally had to leave VCU. There are definite ceilings at Memphis, VCU, Buffalo, etc that don't exist at Kentucky, UCLA, Kansas, Texas, Duke, etc.

Meh I wouldn't include Texas in there with those others
