Coach Jones in the House

From spydersoldier on 247...

"First, Dormady is the real deal. Good feet, lot of zip on the ball, and throws on time. Also a big kid that is faster than any QB on the roster. Not as fast as Jennings but not far from it. Will definitely be more of a threat to keep on the read option. Very accurate. Threw a couple of INTs but that's because he thinks he can fit any ball in the smallest window. Threw a couple of comeback routes that the ball was gone before the receiver turned around and hit him right in the numbers. Don't know how Dobbs will improve but it looks like Dormady will play next year.
Butch and coach jake are very nice and engaging. Never felt like they were trying to end the conversation or push me off and they took pictures. They thanked me for my service asked me about where I have been. Coach jake said he imagined I played before because I am a big guy. There were a handful of Vols fans there and i got to meet SoTexVol with Smokey. Coach Jones said me and my wife made his day and he really seems so genuine which is why i understand how great a recruiter he is. They truly are all about relationships and it shows. All the videos and interviews I see on the internet and to now have met them in person, it seems surreal. On another note, he said that he will be in nashville tomorrow and then to north carolina to see Shy Tuttle. I told him we need and have to get Shy Tuttle. Butch said "we will, i promise you that!" Early BOOMAGE!!!! One of the better days of my life."

If bray had this year's defense in 12, we would have won the east. I sincerely believe that.

You think so fellow? I'm pretty sure that Brays sub 50 QBR rating in the second half of games would still have been hard to overcome. Bray never won anything. Casey almost went undefeated on the road for an entire career. The comparisons are absurd.

The amount of hate and venom CC gets is absurd. No wonder he doesn't come back around the program. Fans treated him mostly like last week's leftovers.

"He ain't Peyton, might as well throw him in the trash."

Wow. Um, no. How about Quinten Dormady 1.0? Let's not put outrageous expectations on a HS SR.

Ehh, that comment was more about me naming the most prolific "gun slinger" of all time and making a ridiculous comparison.

And I don't use blue font. You either get the sarcasm or you don't.

I also don't remember Clausen having to figure out a way to score at least 40 on the ooc schedule with a subpar running game for UT to have a chance

If bray had a d he'd be viewed differently. Clausen was a pr!ck but he won so he's viewed in a more favorable light

I agree but I don't recall Clausen throwing any beer bottles or any jet skiing incidents or giving up on his team against a third string QB Kentucky team or being benched against Vandy or fumbling against SC in crunch time or not showing up against Florida. Clausen found a way to win games in crunch time and was arguably one of the best road QBs we ever had. Yeah Bray put up fantastic numbers but when it came time to WIN the game like big time QBs are suppose to do he never showed up. He'll always be another one of those talented "what ifs" to me

So, a QB with an NFL arm and led the 2nd best offense in the conference. but throws bottles off a balcony is <<< one who throws pick 6's every week? Hhhhhhmmm. SMDH...Hardly.

Both kids have great arms; one is a high schooler who has thrown some pics, for reasons which are unclear.
One is now on IR in the pros, after a number of immature college antics, showing absolutely no leadership skills (or interest in being a leader for the matter). No question he had a great offense in college, but he never fully took advantage of his abilities, or of those atound him.
