Finally figured out how to post this from my Iphone to the forum. I have watched it several times and the more I look the more I like Coach Butch. Was very cool! THIS is a football coach, not a blue blood pansy like we just ran out of town.

No matter what the negavol's say this man is a helluva coach and class act. No wonder his players love him. Anyone who cant get excited and get behind him as a coach doesnt deserve to be a Vol Fan.

Dude during the speech, talking to him, and during the presser I saw peoples eyes welled up, I saw mega boosters looking at each other in delight, and people more excited than at any time this year post Florida. It was humbling to be in the room. The only place I have seen or heard anything negative is on this forum and Twitter and that is lessening by the hour.

Awe...give it a few weeks, and the g-men will jump on board as well.

Everything this guy says and does is awesome it would be amazing to play for him honored to be a vol fan with this quality of a head coach , lets give him time and he will bring us to greatness , and isnt it awesome to hear someone say that this is a destination job? Start running through walls boys we have found our Franklin.

Yes, that was huge for me. His fire is huge too, never saw that with Dooley from Presser announcing him until the day he left. Coach Butch showed more the day he was hired imo.

I think he is a step up, but I don't put any stock in introduction PR stuff. I'll wait til after the season to form an opinion.

Well, it got me and a whole bunch of others fired up. I agree the proof is in the pudding but with Conference Championships in 4 out of 6 years at a head coach, and especially in years 2 and 3 at both jobs, he is already proving to be more of a coach than we had before he takes the field. He will do great things here imo, jump on board and enjoy the ride!

I actually asked him that, he said "Not much" and laughed. I bet he hasn't slept much since his conversation with Hart and Cheek Thursday evening. I truly believe this is his dream job.

Thnx for the video. He seems genuinely excited to be here and held out on several jobs for this one. That alone warrants our support.

By a lot of accounts and statistics he should have been. Strongs SEC experience was probably the trump card on him getting offered first.

How I reported my perception of the presser to my family. Not eloquent, no nice haircut..the type of guy I'd expect to be a football coach.
