Coach Joy running the show?

Has anyone else noticed how much “input” Coach Joy McCorvey seems to have this year? I’ve been to games and she looks to be doing ALL the substitutions and is constantly in Kellie’s ear. I understand assistants will have input from time to time, but it almost seems like too much! Kellie ran the program last year and things looked different. Maybe I’m wrong, but just curious if anyone else had noticed this.

That's basically what Mike Schwartz did for Coach Barnes the last several years.

Like I said maybe I’m wrong and just looking in the wrong place? I do think majority of our problem is too many promises have been made to transfers that can’t be kept.
Really. What promises? Do you not realize that all four transfers are really good though not perfect Your statement makes zero sense. Sounds like you think that Jackson, Powell, Hollingshead and Franklin should not be getting many minutes. I must be misunderstanding you because surely that is not what you mean

It’s about time assistants did their jobs. In no way is she taking over the program. We need the rest of them to show up.

The assistants are doing their job. They would not be on Kellies staff if they didn't. Kellie has already shown she will make the tough decisions and adjust her staff if she deems it necessary (Lacey, Jennifer).

Promises of lots of minutes….hello??? What doesn’t make sense about that. I don’t think all of them are so good that they automatically take away minutes from players we had last year.

You need your assistant coaches to track minutes played, note good combinations of players on a given night, and how each player is performing against specific defenders or defenses. That's not what you want your head coach tracking.

Head coaches may call for situational substitutions, but chances are the asst will have already suggested it.
