Coach LeCroy Gone

Sounds like NYY has no idea what he is talking about. He keeps talking around the questions.

I can only relate my opinion of him and what many other of his peers think of him. You, like others, can form your own opinion.

You didn't relay any opinions of other coaches. The only solid thing you said was that you think his resume' is weak. When you were asked a direct question, you didn't answer, you resorted to personal attacks.

His resume is weak, he is a weak teacher, and is considered a flake.

How is that dodging the question?

Rock.....I have no idea whether Coach Lawson brings a lot to the table or not, but I'm glad to hear your positive thoughts about him. Unfortunately, he has jumped on board a sinking ship. I hope his career does not suffer too badly because of the move, which is likely to be for no more than one season.

I'm sure he knows the situation he's walking into. It's too big of an opportunity to pass up. Jumping from NAIA to the SEC is a HUGE career improvement. I bet he would have taken the job if he knew it would only be for one year.

If he was moving directly from TWC to the SEC, then yes it would be a huge career improvement. But he hasn't been at TWC for a few years, and was recently promoted to Crosschecker for the Padres- the only way I could see him making the move from MLB crosschecker to SEC assistant coach is if he thought he has a shot of taking over the head position when CTR is put out of his misery (hopefully) next year.

I agree. Just heard that LeCroy has been looking for another job--Raleigh found out and fired him. Then hired Lawson and LeCroy got a position at Clemson. Who knows with this bunch of characters...

You're right, huge oversight on my part. If there is going to be a vacancy after next year, I would assume that Hammy would consider hiring internally first.

That's not even remotely true. LeCroy wasn't looking to leave and he DEFINITELY wasn't fired by Raleigh.

Clemson contacted him, and UT offered to bump his pay to keep him from leaving. If that's your definition of firing...
