This was a good quote from a talk I had with Travon Landry...I asked him if he was surprised with the recent recruiting success from Martin(post Hubbs & Davis commitments...

"Not at all. He's a great coach and even better person. He keeps it real all the time and that attracts players that are ready and willing to work and get better*"

If Martin starts winning big, highly rated recruiting classes will become the norm for Tennessee badketball guys.

Coach Martin has his ducks in a row I like that. They focus is all the way there focused on winning games and building character. He has a tough personality and his team plays with his mentality. We are witnessing a Great coach in the making

That was from Kyle Weems, former MVC Player of the Year, saw him play a few times while CCM was at Missouri St. His career took off after CCM got there, hit a huge shot to end Northern Iowa's consecutive game home winning streak.

Took my nephews to their first game at neyland for the season opener against Georgia state. After the game, they were already both smiling ear to ear and just in love with everything . Anyways, we ran into coach Martin outside of Calhouns. He took the time to step aside, say hi and take pictures. It made their day off the charts for them, and I definitely appreciated it.
I know, cool story kind of post. Just wanted to share that not only do we have a winner, but a class act and all around great man leading our basketball team. Go vols!

Rough job being a AD, you get criticized and everyone wants to run you out of town when you make a bad coaching hire....when you appear to nail the hire, you dont get any credit.
