i think we're sweet 16 good next year, i just dont see enough talent for championship good.

maybe '13 though if stokes were to stay.

hope im wrong.

I dont know where all the talk of Stokes going pro after this yr or next yr comes from? He's a good player that gonna get alot better and he needs all 4 years at this moment to maybe be NBA material. I still say at 6'8 270 - he'd be a 1st rd draft pick in a few years in the NFL playing DE or OT, that is adding about 20 to 30lbs!. But in BB, he's not going anywhere soon!

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

i needed a good laugh...

oh wait were you being serious???

you do realize that if he was eligible he would be projected 1st rounder right?

the first year he's eligible(next year), he will be a projected 1st rounder, and most likely lottery.

He will never make it! Too many things he needs to improve on right now. The NBA is the toughest league "to make it". Never will happen, but that God giving size would be a 10+ year career in the NFL. Oh well, he can work like the rest of us after he fails at BB.

Now I realize you are just another troll trying to be polemical. Thank you for clearing that up with ridiculously idiotic statements like the above.

At this point, I'd be worried about hanging on to him. UT basketball is not a destination job and he doesn't have any ties here that I'm aware of.......another year of overacheiving and going deep in the tourney and a major program looking for a homerun hire will simply ask Martin to name his price.

Seriously? Pearl was the hottest name in coaching for the 6yrs he was here and proved that TN can be a destination job. We don't have the history of UK, UNC, UCLA, UConn, etc but we're no slouch nor are we the kind of program people just jump ship on at a whim.

We have a huge arena, great fan support, brand new bball facilities, a respectable tradition/history (Ray, King, Ernie, and Houston were no joke), and the ability to make our coaches very, very rich. Pat Summit and her success here doesn't hurt either.

There is nothing at UT stopping Counzo Martin from building a powerhouse basketball program. The image of our program to people outside of TN is better than yours lol because it is respected.

If we were to lose cuonzo to Purdue he would more than likely be going for half the money we would be willing to offer. I would be surprised if he did that. We will cross that bridge when we get there. If one of the othe top 8 schools come calling then he will have probably got us to a final 4. If that's the case I will be happy.

“Once I took over the program, until I'm in the casket, I don’t know, whatever the case may be ... I said one day we’d be the last team standing," Martin said. “I meant that when I said it.”

Love it.

Like we needed another reason to love that man. Preach it CCM!!!!

Also, agree completely about this clown.

Well you little punk clowns can go on dreaming your hero Stokes is gonna be the next Shaq" lol that's funny. No Shaq needed to stick with BB. And I'm sure Stokes will stick with BB. And I'm telling you now, he wil not have a long career in the NBA if any. But you 20 something yr old idiots that know it all think otherwise! Lol. Fools

Coach Zo will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Sorry Pearl lovers. He wouldn't get the job even if Zo left. The UTAD knows how a real BB team should play now. They would find a replacement with a similar coaching style. But again, they will not have to as long as Zo still wants to coach.

Real basketball? I love coach Martin and think/hope he can take us to greater heights than pearl did but the man did lead us to six straight tournaments including within two points of a final four.....I would gladly be happy with some fake basketball.
