I'm certainly curious about that too, I agree. I never played quarterback. I just know that Burrow was not going to play at OSU and then won the Heisman by a huge margin. I think he's best I've ever seen. So who gets the credit for that? Burrow has to have some of it, but somehow he didn't chose to be like that at OSU.
A lot of times it's perception on the coaches part. Yielding to recruiting status and not what one can do. I'm sure his stock was not as high as a recruit as the QB's at OSU that beat him out. Lot of pressure for those guys to start, and they made NFL to boot, so it wasn't like the coaches were gonna lose in their decision. And maybe he just meshed better with his surrounding players at LSU and thrived better.
