I've never heard any analysts say Ferentz is the 2nd best coach in college football. You failed to tell me how many Rose Bowls KF has won.

This thread is simply unbelievable. All the normal people just kill that idiot's argument, and he just responds with garbage like "muhahahah" and "corso says" and he keeps using :) in the middle of his arguments. This is literally like arguing with a 8 year old who rides the short bus.

Great. He beat a South Carolina team that's never been good at any point in history. He needed a miracle to beat a mediocre LSU team and he triumphed over an 8 win Florida team.

Two good signs that your argument, no matter how informed or persuasive, isn't going to do any good:

1. the people at ESPN are your opponent's standard of high intellect;

2. he does not know the difference between "then" and "than."

I believe I know the answer to the short bus question at the end.

You guys are only looking at the Big name coaches... Brady Hoke took ball st. to 12-1 last season and has now turned SDSU into a respectable program in just 1 year. To win at a dump in Muncie, IN with Ball st. is rather impressive to me. To already have SDSU out of the MWC basement is also impressive to me.

I'd also put Paul Johnson in my top 5 list...

Let the record show that Kirk Ferentz still sucks.

By the way, his record as a D1 FBS coach fell to 79-54 after this loss.

How can anyone in their right mind think this guy is even close to elite?

I'm laughing at Pete Carrol not making the top 3. With the exception of his first season and this season, he has blown every big game opponent to hell (save Texas). He's also won 7 straight PAC 10 titles and gone 6-1 in BCS bowls.
