From the HOF’s website:

Finalists from the Honor’s Committee for the Class of 2024 will be announced on Friday, February 16, in Indianapolis, Indiana, during NBA All-Star Weekend.

The entire Class of 2024 will be unveiled during the NCAA Final Four in Phoenix, Arizona, on Saturday, April 6, in a nationally televised broadcast.

The announcement time and broadcast network for both the Finalist and the Class Announcement will be announced in the near future.

SCREENING COMMITTEES

There are two Screening Committees: North American and Women’s. These Committees review and select individual nominees (“Finalists) to be reviewed and voted upon for Enshrinement by the Honors Committee. The North American Committee consists of nine voting members; the Women’s Committee consists of seven voting members. In order to advance to the Honors Committee, a nominee must receive a minimum number of affirmative votes from the respective Screening Committee (North American: 7 of 9; Women’s: 5 of 7).

The Screening Committees may put forth a maximum number of Finalists to the Honors Committee (North American: 10; Women’s: 4).

HONORS COMMITTEE

The purpose of the Honors Committee is to review carefully the selected Finalist’s basketball record before casting a vote in favor of or against Enshrining the Finalist in the BHOF. There are 24 voting members on each of the two Honors Committees (North American and Women’s). The Honors Committees consist of Hall of Famers, basketball executives and administrators, members of the media, and other experts in the game of basketball. A Finalist must garner a minimum of 18 votes from the respective Honors Committee to be Enshrined in the BHOF.

If the Honors Committee does not elect a Finalist for five consecutive years, the Finalist’s nomination will be suspended for five years.

Bill Laimbeer. Interesting.

Jennifer Azzi is also a nominee. From Oak Ridge and played on some great Stanford teams.

If I'm picking 10, Azzi, Rick, Terry Cummings, Vince Carter, Laimbeer (I am a Pistons fan), Rollie, Dick Motta, Michael Cooper, Lou Henson (that '89 Illini Final 4 team is one of my all-time favorite non-Vols team) and Shawn Marion. Maybe Seimone Augustus but I'm not a women's basketball expert

I was wondering if John Head might be Pat Head Summitt’s father. He coached in Nashville. So I looked up Pat’s dad. John Head is not her father. Unfortunately - Pat’s dad’s name is Richard.
I can't believe you didn't know that. A brother, or uncle Head, served in the Tennessee legislature

That’s a long list of nominees. I just noticed John Clougherty (referee) and Curly Neal (Harlam Globetrotter).
Oh hell, take Marion off my list and add the great Curly Neal. I saw the Globetrotters at the Knox Civic Colosseum, when I was around 12ish. Neal put on a dribbling display and then nailed a 35+ foot 3, at the halftime buzzer. It blew my mind, I knew it was part of the show, but he still had to hit a 35 footer with a hand in his face and it was amazing. You can't fake that. I bought some Globetrotters wrist bands (I was on a budget even at 12) and had 'em for over 30 years. Somehow, I lost 'em after my Mom passed and we sold the house. I've probably watched over 20 Globetrotters game on the Wide World of Sports on ABC. Love 'em and Curly was my favorite
