Oh hell, take Marion off my list and add the great Curly Neal. I saw the Globetrotters at the Knox Civic Colosseum, when I was around 12ish. Neal put on a dribbling display and then nailed a 35+ foot 3, at the halftime buzzer. It blew my mind, I knew it was part of the show, but he still had to hit a 35 footer with a hand in his face and it was amazing. You can't fake that. I bought some Globetrotters wrist bands (I was on a budget even at 12) and had 'em for over 30 years. Somehow, I lost 'em after my Mom passed and we sold the house. I've probably watched over 20 Globetrotters game on the Wide World of Sports on ABC. Love 'em and Curly was my favorite
While Curly got the most fame from his dribbling skills, Marcus Haynes was the magician dribbling machine of the HGT

I really don't remember anybody by name, but Curly and Meadowlark. I blame the weed I like to smoke. Still, every time they were on WWoS when I was a kid, it was must see TV, imo
The Columbian strains you were smoking back then, were potency wise the same as the delta 8-10 you can get legally in Tennessee now. Seriously. No harshness now either

I wasn't smoking at 12, started at 15. It's the stuff in the last 15 years that destroyed my memory of the Globetrotters players. Bwaa-ha-ha

I didn't try it until late teens. Got a blitz of it in the early 80s while starting college. At least 50% of collegiate athletes used it from sparingly to frequently in those times. There weren't any yearly or random piss tests

What do you think the percentage is now ? I say it's around the same, just more ways to cover it up

Percentage of what? THC content? Athletes using? Facts as documented? THC content is higher in marijuana. Use among college athletes is lower. Every other room in athletic dorms 35-40 years ago had a box fan in the outside window! 🤭

True story: One of UTK's best athletes of all time, and highly successful beyond UT, had the one and only electric bong I have ever seen. 😆😆

% using, you said at least 50% back in the 80's (that was when I was 12 and 15)

That brings back a memory! I had not thought of that game in years!
