Coach Zo deserves

He's just not a good coach. The fact that we finally play to our potential for 3 games isn't an indicator that we should keep him. If anything, it's an indictment of our play for the first 28.

And yet, somehow, we've won more regular season games than 2 of Pearl's 3 non-Lofton years.

Every year this team gets hot in the last few games and everyone just forgets about the rest of the season. The tourney selection committee sure won't. You guys are too fickle

Who did those teams beat during the regular season? Notable wins were common with the Pearl teams. This year it's Virginia, and that's it.

The SOS is better this year than any of Pearl's years. Pearl had a few years worse than this. It doesn't matter who they beat. If one team has more pro talent and is ranked and it wins less games than a team with a tougher schedule and less talent the year was worse.

With the team playing like it is now. What do you think happens in the tourney? The SEC one?

If we play this way? Probably to UF, unfortunate we are on their side otherwise I would say we'd make the championship game.

If we revert to A&M we could lose our first game.

To keep his job. What an amazing turn around at the best time. Even when a large % of the fan base was calling for his job, praying for a loss to prove their point, he kept the team poised and have been playing some great basketball

If being a borderline team that loses at home to mercer in the NIT is your standard than he's your man. If playing like **** until the last 5-7 games of each year when your widely considered to be a top 20 team in talent is your thing then he's your man. He's not mine.

I'm starting an official count. As of 3/9/14, here is post #1 of a person drawing false conclusions from another post and shoving words in their mouth.

You've lost your mind. In Pearl's final year for instance, we had 8 wins over NCAA tournament teams. This year we've not even played 8 games against NCAA tournament teams.

I love how when we lose an NIT game, it's suddenly a big deal.

NOBODY gives a crap about the NIT, especially when you were on the bubble. No one. You really think Kentucky gives a crap they lost to Robert Morris last year?

No one cares if you win the NIT. If you have embarrassing losses there, they do care. There are posts on Rupps Rafters today about it. They consider it one of the most embarrassing moments in program history.

Just because a few posters mention it hardly means it matter to the fanbase as a whole.

It gets mentioned on there often, I know quite a few Kentucky fans and they consider it worse than the Kentucky's Shame Sports Illustrated.

The whole 40-0 talk came out of that loss. Hundreds of posts followed that loss basically saying "This may be our low point, but next year, 40-0 will wash this out of our minds."

If you care about your team, embarrassing losses to terrible teams do indeed matter to you.

I love how when we beat some of the worse teams in the SEC,and a strugglin mizzou team, we are all of a sudden, a team to look out for... This team should of been beating teams like this all year long.. Especially with all of the talent and experience we have..but yet we are holding on to dear life to make the tournament...year after year it's the same-thing.. Time for a new coach..

It's not so much the nit loss which is embarassing it's just I don't think cuanzo can consistently get these guys to give effort and that's another example

Vanderbilt made license plates and bumper stickers after they won the NIT Tournament in 1990. Some care about the NIT and some don't.

Heck yea! I am all on board after going 1 and done in the NIT!!!!
I even have a name for next season!!!!!

"Derek Dooley Season 4!!! The season he was robbed of!!"

And next year when we are playing Auburn (or whomever it may be) to not be the bottom of the cellar, we'll have a great crowd to rival that one last week against Auburn. Imagine tuning in to the local channel in early March next year!! A whopping crowd of 1,500 shows up to the Tommy Bowl to cheer Cuonzo on in his last appearance at the Bowl!!! Woo F'ing Hoo!!! :good!:
Meanwhile, the biggest crowd of the year will be when Bruce comes back home to rub Tennessee's nose in not hiring him!!! yeee haw!!!!!
