Coachery

If you are Muschamp, why would you come here knowing that Pruitt only has one more season?

I don't see Pruitt and Muschamp every choosing to work together. Those two are too much alike, and would be a constant reminder to each other that neither of them are HC material.

Plus, I have feeling that Muschamp hates Tennessee.
That Tennessee buyout money though...
GBO!!

That would be so Tennessee. Butch is getting about 40k at Bama and we would pay a million for a coach that is getting a buyout for being FIRED also.
Jimmy Sexton would like to know if someone could hold his beer for a moment.
GBO!!

Finally a reasonable post in this thread.
Because his ego thinks he can help, because he’s Pruitt’s friend, because he’s a mercenary when it comes to being a DC, because he isn’t going to sit on his hands, because his other options have about the same stability profile.

Really? Kiffin and Smart are about a million times more stable situations than Pruitt. Muschamp isn’t coming here to be the last one swabbing the deck of a sinking ship

It would be ... bad for us if Muschamp goes to Ole Miss.

For that matter, it would be bad for Alabama as well... hmmm.... maybe I'm ok with that. Maybe it's worth it.

I would like to see that for Tee if that is what he wants. I have always been a fan of his. Best QB to ever take the field at UT and the numbers of the one season he was allowed to play prove it.
I love Tee as well, but aside from the wins and the Natl Title, he wasn’t a stat sheet guy. He’d be bad mouthed by most fans on this board with the numbers he put up.

Okay, I didn't realize that Tee was there as well. I thought he was out west.

Graham and Beamer worked together at South Carolina. Don't think Tee has ever been on the same staff with Beamer. But it looks like Tee will move on from UT so I could see him going to SC if other opportunities fall through.

There was a time back when Muschamp was an up and comer DC at Texas, that people thought he would be a candidate to take the Tennessee job as HC.

...as already posted by EZE, Muschump would be the obvious interim HC if Pruitt gets fired mid-season. Then he could attempt to pull a Fulmer by beating the dregs of the SEC at the back-end of the schedule, after having already lost every game of consequence on the schedule, to create excitement for next season and earn the full-time gig.

Muschamp knows that would be impossible. He will go to Auburn or somewhere where he can win and shine as the DC.

Summarizing OP:

Jeremy Pruitt hires capable experienced assistants, assigns them a role and responsibilities, immediately disagrees with their ideas and philosophies, and proceeds to micromanage them and demand he do everything he wants the way he wants it. This absolutely fits with the results being produced on the field.

Since our HC can't get along with anyone or let people do their jobs, it seems we have two choices: 1) Fire everyone but Pruitt and let him apply his infinite wisdom of all things football to every position; 2) Fire Pruitt and let the coordinators co-coach, each managing their own sides of the ball, and trust the position coaches to do their jobs.

It's a tough world when you're paying millions of dollars to a leader with no management or people skills.

LOL, your definition of Uber successful player is WAYYYY different than mine.
Sorry I didn’t read your paper defining the standards and tests for “uber successful”. Since you capitalized uber, and didn’t apply an umlaut, you could’ve been talking about your weekend driving job. Those successful coaches were also very successful players.
