Coaches’ Poll, Vols #8

You can see the high low of all the rankings. They high for Bama is #1 and the low is #11. They high for UT is #3 and the low is not ranked. I believe there might be too much politics in the rankings going on to be accurate, meaning someone could be intentionally ranking UT lower if it helps their cause in the bowl selection.

The person voting Tennessee unranked is obviously an idiot or someone with an axe to grind.

The coaches poll should be done away with.

Penn St should not be ranked above us. They’ve beaten no one.

Neither has Alabama. Their best win is against 8-4 Ole Miss and that was a narrow victory. They squeaked past Texas and 5-win Texas A&M.

Meanwhile. We beat Alabama and blew out LSU, UK, and Missouri. Alabama hasn’t blown out anyone decent.

Our loss to USCe is bad, but our accomplishments more than make up for it. Rewarding Bama with a higher ranking is a slap in the face to quality wins, head-to-head wins, and performance measurements against similar opponents. It’s also a slap in the face to Tennessee.

Guess we’ll just have to keep beating them on the field over and over again to make the rest of the country see that their run is over.

Nobody voted us unranked. That’s the lowest ranking we had this season. We started out unranked and peaked at #3 in the coaches. Started unranked and peaked at #2 in the AP. We started #1 in the cfp and currently are #10 but will likely be higher after Tuesday.

Really the only poll that truly matters is CFP poll. I do agree the coaches Poll is a shameful joke. The AP is much better overall. The coaches poll is full of bias and certain coaches vote against rival coaches and for their friends. It should be disbanded. GBO
