This is BS. The only person we know we have offered is Strong. Gundy was interviewed, but "sources say" we offered. The same sources that said Gundy was hired at Ark, and Petterson was hired at Ark. Who said we offered Mora? Our fans are our biggest problem.

What are Roman's ties to the college game or UT? Think he's a great option, just curious

Hire Chavis--I'd be very happy with him. Excellent DC, excellent leader, excellent Vol. Would go full bore and unify Vol nation.

Chavis is exactly where he needs to be. In a state with lots of talent that wants to go to school where he coaches, with absolutely no effort. Chavis has only ever proven one thing, he has good defenses when they are full of future NFL players. When he doesn't have the talent he is so so. He doesn't recruit. He has never shown to have HC desire or potential. He would be a great DC at UT with a dynamic , solid recruiting HC.

Hart had a phone chat with Mora, who apparently said he wasn't interested.

Cheek will not go for Petrino, IMO. Offer Chavis--he'd be better than the no names we'll chase now. Auburn just hired a former coordinator.

I don't buy your reasoning. Who was Fulmer before he was hired? A mediocre OC. Nobody does well without talent. Head coaches dont recruit--that's a staff function, but heads do need to close. Miles touted him for the job. Head coaches are motivators and leaders.
