So apparently Bill Stewart is not retiring, but there is some rumbling of Houston Nutt possibly stepping down.

Given the huge success of Georgia Tech with the triple option, i would actually like to see Vandy try something completely different. I don't know if they can get a Triple-O guy for their coach, but in this league, they need to go completely down a different path in order to compete.

Perhaps Rich Rod Retread might be an option for Vandy too.

Apparently, Vandy is after Navy OC Ivin Jasper (who is denying interest, but we know how that goes). Makes perfect sense to me...runs a Triple-O, can recruit with tough academic standards.

I just talked to someone "supposedly" in the know in regards to WVU football, and they said that Stewart is not retiring.

I keep hearing that Vandy is after either Tommy or Terry Bowden. Bobby has been spending a great deal of time in Nashville since retiring. I believe that is what ticked Bobby Johnson off before the season started. If it is going to be a Bowden we will know by the middle of the week.

Despite the rule allowing service academy athletes to defer their service commitment until after the expiration of their professional spotts contracts the service academies still do not recruit in the same sense as non-service institutions. I think that this is a huge gamble on Vandy's part and is not indicative of the type of commitment to excellence that an SEC member institution should exhibit with regard to the conference's premier sport.

It's interesting because I keep hearing Bowden Brothers tossed out there despite the fact that their usual trial balloon floaters are saying Ivin Jasper.

Jeff Monken (Ga Southern) if they wanted to go back to the SoCon well.

...or Pete Lembo or Mike Ayers. Prob too old but I'd love for him to get his due and a man that truly does more with less than anybody
