So I remember about this time last year we started hearing rumors of some of our coaches looking at possible promotions in the coaching world. Do we have any feeling that this could happen with some of our coaches this year or do we feel like they will all stick with TN.

If we do lose one how could that effect our commitments/recruiting?

Any possible coaching changes at other programs? How could that help/hurt us?

The reason I bring this up is it seems like every single one of our commits are very firm, and this would be the only way we would start to have any waiver.

Hope we don't!:salute:

I can't think of anyone on our staff that would leave right now. Maybe Lance Thompson if he got a DC offer??

Just as a reminder, we're 3-6 with our only wins coming over UT-Martin, UAB, and Memphis. I'm not sure that any of our coaches are in high demand right now.

It would absolutely crush our recruiting to lose Chuck S

Yes because it'd not like anyone would want Chaney, hiestand, baggett, Wilcox, Smith, Thompson, or Russell

He is probably the last one I would worry about.

Honestly the only one I could see moving is LT...which I agree is a longshot.

Just a random thought I had, probably not thread worthy...sorry.

If Richt is fired and Kirby Smart is hired Lance Thompson would go to UGA...

Jim Chaney almost left last year to. So there is always a chance.

There is always a chance but Richt wont get fired.

All our coaches will be here next season.

If UGA lose to Auburn and GT Richt will get fired 5-7 wont keep his job. I dont think they will lose to Tech and he prolly will keep his job. If Baggett got a job in the NFL I think he'd leave to

If our coaches can turn this thing around and get 6 wins and possibly a bowl win. Coupled with at least a promising signing class, I would up their money and at least redo contracts to make buy-outs more difficult.

Chuck Smith, if he succeeds has a chance in time to be promoted from within. Hes a UT guy and we have a history of that. Chavis, Fulmer, etc. Not like that's really a good comparison, just saying. I do miss coach Dan Brooks. He was awesome, great coach and motivator. He coached lots of pros.

I don't think UT loses any this year. However I could see LT at uga. He would kill it there.

Mark it--Richt will not be fired. If anything, Mike Bobo will be let go and Richt will be given another shot and begin calling plays again. This will be the 2nd chance he's been given to make things right, so after the 2011 season (maybe during it), if things aren't right in Athens, then THAT'S when Richt will go. But it's not going to happen this off season.

Which one of the coaches is the most important one when it comes to recruiting? I am curious to see who we feel would hurt us the most if he left the program.

No one is going to be leaving anytime soon while Dooley is in charge, at least for the next season or two. JMO. The only coaches I see moving on at any point in the near future are Chaney or LT.

Thompson would be the one to worry about most, but honestly I don't see it happening with UGA getting Grantham this past year as a new DC. I would say that he has more say so over his position coaches due to his NFL background and I agree that I don't think Richt gets fired this year.

Otherwise I don't see any of our coaches leaving unless Chaney sees an OC opportunity somewhere else that he wants. I like Chaney a lot, but I'd much rather see him go than Thompson personally.
