Binge-watched them all, season 4. Miguel's obvious weight gain makes him look less believeable. Tory really shines in this series, glad we got to see more of her. Terry Silver was a good add. Overall I'm still enjoying the series.

My favorite episode of season 4 had to be the one where there was complete miscommunication and misunderstanding of circumstance. I hadn't seen that used before and it was refreshing.

Yeah, that gets a little old. There are a few good twists though. I don’t see how they can do more a 5th season. It’s been fun, but time to wrap it up.

One thing with Johnny that gets tiresome is his whole "I'm a middle aged loser stuck in the 80's" routine. How many jokes are we going to get that involve something about his ignorance to the modern world? In the first couple of seasons it was funny. Now it's just a trope.

And what the hell happened to Miguel? He's supposed to be a badass martial artist and he went off between seasons 3 and 4 and got... fat? Plus he acts weird in season 4. He constantly shoots these goofy smiles/facial expressions that I never saw him do before. It's weird. It's like I'm watching a totally different actor play that role.

Hey man,
The 80's were great and we can all agree that Johnny's Rocky Burning Heart montage was badass

I thought for sure Mike Barnes was going to show up at the end of this one.

I'm guessing that was who Silver was referring to when he said he might call a few friends in the finale. Thomas Ian Griffith did a good job, especially during that scene.

As much as he’s been publicly begging to be on the show, they’ve got to add him. I’m guessing next season will be the last. They really seem to be running out of ideas.

They really screwed up the show by trying to make it equally about Lawrence and Larusso. The Larussos suck. They suck so bad. Daniel sucks. His wife sucks. Their son sucks. Their daughter is terrible at karate and is completely unbelievable as a martial artist. All Daniel can talk about are lessons he learned from Miagi 40 years ago. He's a bad businessman. He's still a hot head. He sucks and they're retroactively ruining his character in the old movies. The joke that Daniel was really the bad guy has become the reality.

I could not agree more. The one part that bothered the hell out of me about season 4 was the constant Mr. Miyagi this, Mr. Miyagi that, in what seemed to be every single episode.

And it’s gotten out of control with the secondary characters. They need better stories for the main guys to finish out strong.

For those who are devoted enthusiasts of the original Karate Kid movie, there are some amazing YouTube videos people have made showing many of the filming locations and how they look today. A particular good one is posted by "grimmlifecollective". Other good ones also. Without giving things away, I was amazed and impressed with these places today.
