Congrats to the ole ball coach. I hope he retires this year, if not go back one more year as a farewell season. He has been one of the best but his time has come to hang it up.

I don't disagree that they were expected to at least be in the race for the national championship, but it's not like they started in the top 5 (and were favorites to win the conference) and then only put out 3/4/5 wins.
And, well, they're likely now going to end the season with 7-5 on the regular season, with the chance for an 8th win in a bowl game.
Nowhere near as high as the hopes were, but not nearly as comparable of a fall either.
