Coker?

Whatever it is, I hate it for Coker. I'm all for putting 2nd string back there to return the kickoffs now, nothing's working anyway.

Ouch, torn ligament. Not good. I was just going to ask what the prognosis is for a knee sprain... doesn't matter now, I guess.

The am shows said he is out for the rest of this season and don't kow if he will be back for next. If it is a torn ligament that is a year recovery and you really dont get back o 100% till 2 years. Good luck to him and I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Wow... that actually makes you sick to your stomach.

If there is a bright side it is that this is not the official word, just the local media. I guess they will release that on monday. I am sure that he will have an MRI. I would guess that CPF will address that on monday or media day on tuesday.

On CPF Show Sun:

CPF: "Doesn't look good -- will get a further evaluation--may be out for season -- not available for the SC Game."

This is the exact reason you don't move Hardesty to defense. Thankfully, our coaching staff doesn't listen to the people on this board.

Hate it for Coker, but it's good that we have 3 capable running backs on our roster.

Hardesty is a capable running back in the same way that Keanu Reeves is a capable actor.

The initial report on Coker was a sprained MCL. In most instances that means a slight tear and that can be rehabilitated fully with rest and rehab. The other statement made was that an MRI was performed and the results probably won't be know until Monday.

I know that Lamarcus gives the extra demension of speed in the backfield but I have confidence in Foster and Hardesty. These guys can get the job done. Especially if we only get 100+ yards per game. The offense revolves around the premise of the run. All we have to do is keep people honest. The athletes (play makers) are on the outside in this version of the Tennesse offense.

Foster is a very good back, but I think Coker was more explosive.

I think Foster is a more consistent 5 yards guy. Coker can break huge runs, but he tends to get stopped for short gains a little more. It sucks not to have Coker, though.

what worries me is the constent attrition due to injuries. losing harrell and johnson brought down the level of play of the d-line and secondary. swain being hurt brings down the recievers. and coker going down hurts the backfield and especially the return game. we keep winning games and losing players and its gonna catch up to eventually. probably in one of the next 3 games.
