"It's not as bad as we were concerned it might have been after the ball game. I still think you're looking at three to six weeks," Fulmer said.
When asked if Coker sprained his knee, Fulmer said privacy laws prevented him from saying what kind of injury Coker has. Coker had an MRI after the game.

Thanks for the link, tid.

Yeah, it sucks that he won't be able to go against SC, LSU, or Arky, but it is still good news that it wasn't worse.

Coker will be missed, but I think that Foster and Hardesty can hold it together. If not, Cut could always have Ainge throw 60 times a game.

This is exactly why I didnt want Coker returning kicks. When I posted it in this thread, http://www.volnation.com/forum/tennessee-vols/19914-what-do-hardesty.html, almost everyone disagreed with me. Sometimes I hate being right.

...and I'd still probably disagree with you. There's a risk of injury, but my opinion has always been that you treat a kick return like an offensive play and put your best people on the field for it. People get hurt playing football. That's just the way it is.

I've never believed in playing 3 backs but believe in having 3 backs in case of injuries. Look for a strong finish by Foster plus Hardesy is a capable back. Our line just needs to do more in run blocking.

I was thinking that myself during the bama game , that the holes weren't very big for our RBs, and having Coker returning kicks was a good idea IMO, that just happened to be when he got hurt.

Having a gamebreaker as a returner is great if you are any team other than UT. Our special teams are so bad it doesn't matter who we have back there. It is a bad idea 95% of the time for a UT returner to bring a kick out of the endzone. Most other schools can't say that. We are going to be subpar whether we put Lamarcus back there or Bill Grimes. I would rather just use some scrub, as long as he is able to avoid fumbling.

Foster will step up and be Work Horse again. Count on It. I love his hard nose running style. He can get it dont in the trenches.
