Offer lists are deceiving too. Some players don't report their offers and some players don't go to the school's camps to earn an offer. Dylan Weisman and Ohio state is a perfect example of this

True, but looking at offer lists is one way to tell if a class is underrated, which I think our 2013 class is. Kids like Ryan Jenkins were only 3 stars, but he turned down Clemson and some other big schools to come to UT. Underrated player when all is said and done imo, and that class is full of em.

Yea I know, I just think it goes both ways. Matthieu was a four star with only one major offer, you can also find 3 star studs with amazing offer lists. So I think it goes both ways, ill admit, it makes me feel alot better about a recruit with great offers

I just think it means more these days with scholly limits - coaches don't offer just anyone anymore, hey can't afford to....but you make really good points too.

I can't wait until the season starts. Even as I look at the calendar I'm praying I don't go into some type of catatonic shock or something with no football for all these months.
Looks like a solid pickup for the O-line.

Be reminded that CBJ and staff helped ** and *** players get to the NFL, ten of 'em to be exact.

Lineman i think is the one position where stars dont really matter. For example, Eric Fisher, who should go top 10 this year, was a 2 star. Jonathon Cooper, who also could go top 10, was a 3 star. Lane Johnson, who will most likely go top 15, wasnt even ranked. Luke Joeckel, who might go #1 overall, was only a 4 star.

Nice good early get at our biggest need next year.
I agree. The guy has the frame needed for the position. We're not going to win many head to head recruiting battles with the upper echelon of the SEC for linemen on either side so it's good that they got in early on this one.
