Cowherd doesn't "call it like he sees it." He calls it however it needs to be called to get ratings. He has no allegiance to anything, not even a point of view. He says as much on his show. It's not a good idea to think he ever truly believes what he is saying. You will get duped.

I've always given Cowherd this: After 2 Loss LSU beat Ohio St. a few years back he got on air and said "I was wrong". He said he had railed on delusional SEC fan saying SEC was the best, but when he reexamined he saw we had 4X more championship level programs than any other conference, no weeks off due to top to bottom strength unlike other conferences, and the best recruiting grounds.

All the years later, there are plenty of mouthpieces that won't admit this and call the SEC overrated every year.

A lot of people seem to not be able to stand Cowherd, but I think he's great to listen to and is very smart. No not because this one comment. Lol.

The more the talking heads say good things about bUTch and Tennessee the more the top recruits will start looking our way and we need top players to come to the hill to rebuild us faster.

I hope they talk about this big Tennessee upset WIN non-stop all week long.

Colin is my favourite radio host, and I wouldn't expect anything less than gospel from him!

I seems Butch and Co. were doing just fine on the recruiting trail before this win. I really don't see the talking heads "talking" too much about the number 11 team losing...not that UT wants them talking too much about it.

Let's see how this will go..."Can YOU believe UT beat a ranked team?!"

Act like you've done it before and move on.

This team and it's fans have been starving for a win like this. We were fed today. This is what we needed for us to return to one of the most feared stadiums to play in and for the players to believe in what the coaches have been selling.

This isn't directed at you but Mark May is a straight up moron. By far the worst on any station. I have to either turn the channel or mute it when he's on. Can't stand that guy

Excellent points all around, and I said the same thing about swagger earlier today. They're starting to have that look about them that we haven't seen in years.

I agree with everything, with one caveat: I would say the second worst. The worst, IMHO, is his running mate, Ole' Lispy Lou Holtz. I can't stand Mark May either, but he at least gets points with me for the times he acts like Holtz just needs to retire and go to bed.

I said this here a few years ago and I'll say it again; much like Corso, Cowherd is a UT fan. He's said plenty of good things about UT, and back when CPF was here (and CLK, for that matter) he didn't hide it. He also knew from the get-go CDD didn't get it. It's the power of the catchiest fight song in CFB.

People love to hate the guy, but he is well informed and speaks his mind. Can't really fault a guy for that even if he isn't always singing our praises.
