What would happen if every piece of history (books, newspapers, internet, etc.) was destroyed, and every person's memory on the planet pertaining to history was erased like in Men in Black? Would we all just go about our own business not giving a **** what everybody else was doing or who may have oppressed who at one point? Wouldn't we all just live our own lives to the best of our ability and stop blaming everyone else for our problems? I know we can't completely erase our memories or destroy history, but why not just ACT AS IF we are all capable of directing our lives in a positive way without any oppressive boogeymen. Couldn't hurt.
If you don't think oppression is real, you're crazy. Just like you're crazy if you think the entire history of western civilization is about oppressing Africa.
