He was a GOPer who loathed Trump and Trumpsters. His voice of reason will be missed.
Actually he couldn't make up his mind about being a Dem Or Rep when he came out of the military (which I would hope all our military leaders would follow) but the leftys helped him make up his mind. He supported Barak.....

So sad. In the 1990s at the height of his popularity many people wanted him to run for president or for bush or dole to put him on their ticket. Sounds like he had high risk multiple myeloma and it’s hard for those patients to get adequate antibody response to the vaccines. Here is an article that shows only 45% of those get an adequate response with the vaccines.
Response to mRNA vaccination for COVID-19 among patients with multiple myeloma | Leukemia
Given his age likely wasn’t a candidate for transplant and probably on some pretty powerful chemotherapy agents. Rest In Peace.

He was a good man and I respected him. Unfortunately he will be remembered as having been duped into lying to the world by the Bush/Cheney administration.

There's a lot going on here. Did he believe what he did (going in front of the UN) was right?

He was a good and decent man. He’s further down the list in blame as far as that administration goes IMO. I believe his position was marginalized greatly by the ambitions of Rumsfeld and Cheney and probably was a big reason for his departure.

It is my opinion that when he gave his presentation to the UN he believed it was essentially true. It has been reported that the state dept had doubts about some of the intelligence but administration convinced him otherwise. I could be wrong.
