I believe Andraya Carter played for the LadyVols
I don’t even think Chris Fowler hates Tennessee. He‘s just a snob who made an offhand comment when he got annoyed at the blowback from Tennessee fans because ESPN was pushing the Woodson for Heisman narrative. And that was 27 years ago.Let’s not forget the 1997 Chris Fowler dig. It really doesn’t get more obvious.
“Trailer park frenzy”
Nah. He is a pecker with ears.I don’t even think Chris Fowler hates Tennessee. He‘s just a snob who made an offhand comment when he got annoyed at the blowback from Tennessee fans because ESPN was pushing the Woodson for Heisman narrative. And that was 27 years ago.
He has said multiple times that he regrets his comment, and he seems to really enjoy college sports, no matter who is playing. He’s probably still a snob, but I don’t think he thinks or cares about Tennessee enough to hate them.
Yeah, but he has complimented our team and Barnes far more often over the last few years. So, no, even with your example, he doesn't hate us

It's easy to tell he's still pissed about us beating Duke last year. He had an agenda tonight until the end of the game.
This. Thank you for bringing some level-headedness to the discussion. I’ve decided to no longer waste my time responding to the paranoid, conspiracy theorists who think everyone else is out to get us.I don’t even think Chris Fowler hates Tennessee. They all do not hate us. Dykes and Greenberg, Burns, and Slay to name 4. But some are human and have personal bias that creeps in at times. If you don’t think the NCAA doesn’t hate us right now, then you haven’t been paying attention.Ya'll are funny. Everybody hates Tennessee! All the football broadcasters and analysts are terrible and hate Tennessee. All BB announcers
and analysts the same! All the national sportswriters--the same--all are terrible and hate Tennessee. Oh, also the officials--in football AND basketball. THEY hate Tennessee. Don't forget ESPN---IT hates Tennessee. And the NCAA! Damn--Hates Tennessee! If all
of them DID hate Tennessee, who could blame them listening to Vol fans--who swing between obnoxious exuberance and paranoia (everybody
hates us) like no other fan group in the country.
Tune in later tonight, once the game starts, for more: Bilas hates us! The officials hate us!
Watch CBS SN.It was pretty obvious last night, as virtually everything from Bilas seemed to be from the Alabama point of view.
I don't watch any sports TV aside from games (and that with a DVR to avoid halftime, etc.), but reading a lot of national media websites this morning, there really isn't any love for UT. Most articles were more about lamenting the Alabama loss and praising them for holding DK down than anything else. Not sure what we ever did to deserve the level of disdain there seems to be for us, but it's there and often isn't very subtle.
I think the national media's collective heads would explode if we somehow ran the table in March and took home the big prize. Please make it happen.
