Oregon state began their post season ranked 103rd in KenPom. They’re now ranked 43rd. That is wild. For as long as I’ve been following these ratings I don’t think I’ve ever seen that kind of change

Except in the NCAAT. Conference wise, they were the big fish in the little pond of the SWC. Then Nolan kicked some SEC butt when KY was in jail and TN started their decades long curse.

Actually Hogs have 1 national title and 3 other FF appearances. I think those numbers trump UT’s tradition. I would definitely agree Vols have better hoops traditions than Auburn, Mississippi State, and Georgia who have been once each to FF but I‘ve got to give the Hogs the hoops tradition edge over UT.

The Hogs have their hardware, but have disappeared for a generation or more.

They have their natty. But they also struggled to beat Wade for gawd sake. Their arguably best era ever failed head-to-head with our worst.
