College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Just turned on the UCONN/St. John’s game at 63-63 with 3 minutes to go and the first thing I see is Chris Ledlum brick two open shots then commit a bad foul to give UCONN a 67-63 lead.

UCONN’s first win in their last 44 that they won by fewer than 6 points.

Pretty crazy

well mcneese beats michigan 87-76. wouldn’t be shocked to see will wade break a few brackets come march

Will Wade is a Grade A d-bag but he can coach sadly. He’ll get another high major job this off-season probably.

Juwan Howard, on the other hand, is just bad. Not sure why Michigan bothers keeping him around considering all the off-the-court drama you have to deal with for such a mediocre coach.

I feel like Michigan would be a good fit for Wade next year. They obviously gave up on the integrity thing already.

Wow. So close. Rutgers survives. 2-12 Stonehill was up 58-56 with 20 seconds left, had the ball, missed a shot and Rutgers drilled a 3 to win. Stonehill had just 6 scholarship players available and was 352nd in the NET.
Their recruiting needs to be investigated. No way they got all the talent they’re getting next year above board.

He beat Kennedy Chandler and most of the players who are still on our team. The guy may not know how to coach, but he gets more out of his team when it’s win or go home than Barnes.

Well, to be clear, he beat us in one game. Anything can happen in one game.

Barnes won us our first SEC tournament in decades. That has to count for at least something.

I don't agree with your point, but I guess I somewhat understand it? But Howard's not done much "win or go home" work other than that one game, which was particularly impactful to this fan base but not really anyone else.

Maybe having the best player on the court that night had something to do with that. You guys are relentless in your criticism and constant cherry picking.

So when is that "one game" going to go our way in March?

I mean, I hope soon. I'm not a fortune teller.

I'm not an ardent Barnes defender, he has definite flaws, but I'd argue he's a top 20 current coach in cbb. You don't generally fire those and hire another who's better immediately.

Let me put it this way, I'm 32 years old. I cried when we won't the sec tournament. I care a lot. I know the history. I'm not selling Barnes right now.
