College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Aidoo has yet to play so far in this exhibition with Kansas. Not sure if he is hurt or what, halfway through the first quarter.
Are enough people watching to start a thread? I just turned it on.

I don’t like that Aidoo left us, but it would be tragic if Cal ends up deciding Aidoo’s too soft to play for him.

They said at the beginning of the game that he's not playing tonight. Didn't give a reason.
Ah, appreciate it. Hope he's alright, cheering for the guy to hit that next gear, just not against us.

Doubt it. Figured this would be the place unless we decided to make a former Vol thread. Can't help but pull for Aidoo and Awaka.

Familiar faces. It’s hard to un-care for our former players and really I don’t see a point in doing when we’re still among the top teams in the conference. It was different when To’o’toa left to play football for Saban’s Bama.
Pretty much. I can't pretend to even understand the financial decisions these young guys and their families are having to make in this Wild West NIL era. Maximize your income to a point program-wise, get your education, and most importantly have fun playing ball while you can. Both players put it all on the line to get the Vols where they have been so nobody here is in any position to knock these dudes as it relates to giving their all to Tennessee.

The frontcourt changes might have even worked out for the better for us if the reports on Okpara are close to accurate.

We sure stirred up all the kudos for DK over a preseason stat line. Barely a passing comment that Arky looked good. Are ya’ll that afflicted and suffering with BVS? 🤣

Nah. It’s not BVS. I just saw this exact scenario with Arkansas last year. Tons of people crowning them for beating Purdue in an exhibition game at home. We all saw what happened.

I think Arkansas will be solid, but don’t think you can take much away from their game yesterday. Aidoo didn’t even play.

While I don't put a lot of stock in it, it's maybe a useless exercise to compare this Arkansas team to last year's. The only similarity (literally) is the red jersey with Arkansas on the front that both teams wear/wore. New staff, almost entirely new team.

It may be a different team, but my only point was there were similar reactions last year to a hyped Arkansas team beating Purdue. Sure, it’s a new team. New players. New coach. That’s true. But I want to see more before I start acting like they are some elite team we should be worried about. They have the pieces but Cal has had pieces before and failed to do anything with it.

Rivals finalized their transfer portal rankings, SIAP

Doesn’t matter, just wanted to post.

Lanier: 13
Dubar: 20
Milicic: 116
