College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Yeah this is worst I ever seen the acc conference in basketball …. Bad down. May not be good for Duke honestly time March rolls around , because they won’t be greatly battle tested .
Maybe not but they’ll be the overall 1 seed unless Auburn can avoid 3 losses. If Auburn loses 2 or less they will be the overall 1. If 3 or more then it’ll be Duke.

Duke struggles with a 9-10 team in Cameron. They will be lucky to get to the Sweet 16
Flagg is THE name in college basketball. I pity the teams that will have to deal with the horrible officiating they’ll get playing against Duke in the NCAA tournament. Unless a team can beat the refs too they’ll at least make that second weekend.

Possibly, but that might not be enough when they have to have to face better competition in back to back games

Awaka banging and having him a game. Definitely don't mind losing Aidoo but would be nice to have had him this year. Seems he is able to manage his fouls a little better this year, too.
I got a lot of grief bout Awaka earlier this season… might not be as good of a finisher around the rim compared to Okpara apparently but still believe he could’ve really helped us if he stayed. Averaging 7.9 pts, 8 rebs in 18 mins/gm. 17 pts against Iowa St in the upset.

Yeah I’ll take that anytime. We could have used a bruiser like Awaka especially after Estrella went down.

He's definitely improved. I'm not sure I'd rather have them over Felix, tho. I'd probably say no. Felix is able to play more minutes at a decently high level. Awaka was able to log the minutes last night, but I'm not sure you can count on him for close to 25 mins a game. Their field goal percentage and points ppg are about the same, but Toby grabs one and a half more boards a game. Felix gets more blocks and changes more shots, tho. Toby is more a below the rim player.

I’m glad we have Felix, and if JP hadn’t of been lost for the season then probably wouldn’t miss Tobe as much. But, Tobe would have definitely helped us this season as has some skills where you can pass him the ball in the post and he can score. Currently without JP we don’t really have anyone who can play back to the basket in the post. He arrived with a tremendous rebounding motor and he’s strong enough to keep the Broome types from backing him down under the basket on D.

Yeah, I always considered Awaka would be a depth piece to complement Igor, Cade and Felix. He’s more of a physical post-up guy in contrast. With that said, only would expect 15 mins/gm and average 7-8 pts & 7 rebs. That would take away mins from Igor & Cade but gives us scoring inside.
