OU needed that win badly for tourney purposes. The committee is going to have a very tough job of comparing a team like OU to, say, Wake Forest, who has a far better record because their schedule is far inferior. I think OU is better than Wake but OU needs more wins to get in over a team like Wake.If Oklahoma can hold off MSU that will clinch a bye for us in the SEC Tournament.
Tennessee is the only top team that seems to be incapable of scoring on Kentucky. Hate that we let these guys beat us….TWICE. They play zero defense.
I will say that the SEC is just brutal. If you have an off night you will lose, even to the bottom 2 teams. SC took Auburn to the wire and they’ve been close with other ranked teams as well so it’s not just an Auburn thing. SC definitely should’ve beaten Florida.I was coming in here to say the same thing. You just beat me to it. I don’t see them winning it all. Too many ugly games they escape with wins in. It’s going to catch up to them eventually.
I don’t anticipate the same this year but being #5 instead of #4 cost us the F4 last year.
If we’re 4th overall we’ll be the #1 seed in the West. If we’re 5th overall (where we currently stand as of last Saturday) we’ll be #2 in the East opposite #1 seed Duke.I haven’t studied on it. Not sure what the possible matchups and locations are as the 4 instead of the 5. I don’t want to play games on the west coast. Or have to face Duke in a virtual home game like at MSG or the state of NC.
Glad there isn’t a 7’ freak a zoid to live in the paint this year.
