College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Maybe they’ve heard the talk for years of everyone saying it doesn’t matter and coaches should just punt on it and rest, guess we’ll find out.

Again, most of y’all have disagreed with me, but I think it’s how certain things that are said get applied

I think the “it doesn’t matter” gets misinterpreted. Unless something crazy happens, for the vast majority of the field, it probably literally doesn’t matter. And in that sense it’s true.

But, I think every year there are exceptions. Every year there are teams within some conferences that are really difficult to separate and I think that’s where conference tournaments come into play.

Having 3 teams from the same conference neck and neck is the greatest chance they’ll ever have to show it matters, that’s for sure. As many have said we went on to win it all a few years ago and many thought we’d get a 1 seed because of it, instead we were a 3 and below Kentucky which made no sense, and Lunardi went on to tell Vol fans that what they did in the SECT didn’t matter.
