College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Georgia beats St. John’s. LSU beats UCF in triple OT. The SEC is crushing the non-conference. Going to be a deeeeeeeeeeep league this year. Wins may be harder to come by than normal, but hopefully the non-conference performance by the SEC means the selection committee will look more favorably over wins you do get than they normally do. We may be the best conference this year.
Miami has lost the last 3 games to Drake, Oklahoma State, and VCU. I was hoping that game would be more of a resume win then its starting to shape up to be. So hopefully your right that the committee will value SEC play this year

That’s really unexpected. They’ve been pretty good the last couple years.

It’s possible we come out of the non-con undefeated this year

Double digit favorites on barttorvik in 6 of 7 remaining OOC games, at Illinois is the only one we aren’t and are currently 2.5pt favorites. Undefeated definitely seems on the table and 12-1 is hopefully the floor for this squad, would’ve gladly signed up for that preseason.

@The Dog

Watched DePaul play it's crazy to see how far that team has fell. I remember years ago every kid in Chicago went to play for DePaul.
Except Isiah. But, yeah and they showed DePaul games all the time on WGN. I loved DePaul, especially that Terry Cummings and Mark Aquirre team. Pretty sure they made the Final 4 that year Magic beat Bird. In fact, they won the 3rd place game over Penn, iIrc.

Edit: my bad, Cummings wasn't on that team, but everything else I posted was right. I still got that long term memory
