College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

I don’t think we’re that good either 😂
I have no problem being honest.
You guys are good if you're hitting 3's at a really high clip. If they aren't falling, you're a bad team.
Defense is particularly bad.
Having said that, when you get into March all you have to do is get hot. Problem with that is you'll have to be hot every game to make a meaningful run. This is not very realistic at all because all year you haven't been able to do that.
A nice shooting game and win has been followed almost on cue with a crappy one and a loss.

I love Oweh and for some reason, the Cats are a horrible match-up for the Vols. I really hope we don't see you all in the SEC Tourney, Pope might get 3 against us
Not really. They just shot 50 % from the floor and 50% from 3 in both games. They take a lot of 3's, too.
We also happened to shoot really bad from 3 both games. A lot of wide open misses, too.

There are a lot of teams that are going to be a "bad match-up " for us if they get that hot and we that cold.

25-3 Dook with their 6 quad 1 wins overtakes 25-2 Auburn with their 14 Quad 1 wins to become #1 in NET lol
What a joke. Hopefully Barn regains that with their 106-76 blowout of Ole Miss.

Duke playing absolutely nobodies and running up the score doesn't impress me, but it certainly does the NET algorithm. Might be a little flaw in how the NET calculates it's #1.
Just sayin.

No worries, Saturday they have to play an Auburn team that put up 106 tonight on a team that beat them.
Still have Missouri on the road, too.
That was a bad Oklahoma team they were barely able to beat with all their players present.
That game will be close. Kentucky is a different team at Rupp during big games.

They took margin of victory out of the formula.

I thought they just capped it? TBO I don't necessarily keep up with NET. Just look at it as a metric from time to time knowing the committee uses it.
Either way, I believe it ( margin of victory) can still indirectly influence a team's NET by affecting their adjusted net efficiency rating.

Yes, exact same analogy anyone would have if they watched us vs LSU and thought, “they’re going to have to play out of their minds on Saturday to beat Alabama. Even at TBA.”
Kentucky has been playing bad defense all year. Our offense numbers weren't really any different when we beat LSU as other top teams.
Anyone watched that game knows we were playing down to our competition.
Kentucky had to give everything they had and have a superman night from Oweh to barley be able to beat Oklahoma.

We are probable (even likely) to beat Alabama at home. I would bet we are the favorite when spread is done.
It's not likely that Kentucky beats Auburn.
Like I said, they will have to shoot absolutely lights out, and that still probably won't be enough.

Can they win? Absolutely. Big upsets do happen. Is it likely or probable? Certainly not....

After watching the end of the OU/UK game last night, I’m really surprised Pope hasn’t tried to calm his players down.

Garrison already had two technicals this year and could have easily got a technical at the end of the game for getting into the OU’s players face. That could have gave Oklahoma a chance to win the game.

I think Pope is a pretty good guy but he needs to control his players better. Pearl does the same crap at Auburn.
