Their revenue generated from the tax (its taxed 3 times at 25%) will be huge. Their crime rate will decrease to record lows. Other states will take notice and this will be a common theme through coming elections.

A desperate move to revive the Colorado football program

I saw a crawl on ESPN where the NCAA specifically came out and said that students would still get busted for drug use in those states despite it being legal.

Who is going to be the pot Rosa Parks in football?

There's no way the NCAA would even let up on its policy as long as it's a national organization (and overall the country/government's stance on the issue is still "marijuana's illegal")

...also, that's kinda bad

No, Debbie Downer

...and why would grades fall, it follows the same purchasing regulation as alcohol - have to be 21 and over for purchases

How many people will actually buy it legally and pay the tax? Instead of growing it themselves, or a dealer.

Is it completely legalized, of just for medical use?

Legalized for consumption by everyone. However, it is still not legal under Federal law, so the state will have to fight for it. We won't know for a while it seems...

That's a good point
I think the edible weed products will end up being where the big money is. Opens up a whole new market.
