I don't care who their coach is its what their coach has done. Taken a winless team and turned them into a team that could beat us in 1 season.Colorado could beat us but saying flat out “they would smoke us”. Who knows. They aren’t exactly great either. And they’re only ranked because of who their coach is. Lol get real.
Its seriously beyond my understanding how someone could watch how the Vols have performed and think we even have a chance of stopping Sanders to Hunter for 40+ yard TDs. They would literally eat us alive thru the air.You watched a different game than me. The team speed was leagues above ours. Their receivers and qb would eat our secondary alive.
He did that against a 3-9 team man. You must just read stories, and not really watch football. I'll bump this thread in a few weeks, guarantee you won't have the same energy.Based on? Based on their QB simply throwing it over the top to Hunter all game.
Thats all it would take.
We are a terrible team.
I don't know what to tell you. If you've watched these 3 games so far and you think we could somehow stop Colorado from throwing for 500 yards on us, then... i'm just at loss for words. I can't even begin to understand what it is you think you're seeing when the Vols play.He did that against a 3-9 team man. You must just read stories, and not really watch football. Flip it for me. They've only done that to horrible teams, unless you think tcu is elite. You must've missed that championship game, they aren't good, especially this year. If vandy beat 3 bad teams, one in overtime that was horrible, you think they'd smoke us? I'm not saying they wouldn't get yards, but you're about to see how Colorado really is. You're just caught up in the flash of their coach like everyone else. I have nothing against them, but they're not an elite team yet, no matter what you think.I don't know what to tell you. Colorado has barely snuck by lesser talent. Josh Heupel had Tennessee 11-2 last year with a orange bowl victory! Get ahold of yourself. At some point we gotta be honest, over the last couple of decades the Vols have been mediocre at best, consistently loosing to UF and if we do get the W… it’s a squeaker. It seems we are hell bent on sticking with same coaching staff, recruiting, and mediocre roster that keeps the Vols nation irrelevant. I’m sick of supporting that culture, I look at ( and I hate say it) Colorado, in less than one full season things are moving! Why in the hell can’t we create that momentum?
Colorado is just a flavor of the month. They beat an over ranked TCU team, a bad Nebraska team and needed OT to beat Colorado State. They lose 2 of the next 3 easy and we won't have to suffer through the Sanders crap being poured down our throat. But recruiting has not been very mediocre. Considering the amount of talent we have to pull from out of state, how close teams like Clemson, Athens, Tuscaloosa are to Knoxville and the occasional brands like USC, Ohio State pulling top athletes, were okay in recruiting. Shocked we've stayed as relevant as we have considering the mediocre results on the field. At some point we gotta be honest, over the last couple of decades the Vols have been mediocre at best, consistently loosing to UF and if we do get the W… it’s a squeaker. Says you and that doesn’t mean much to anyone but you. Come back at the end of the year and see how right you are. I bet you will waffle more than Waffle House as the season plays out just to save your narrative in your own mind.Colorado that went winless last season and with a first year coach would beat the Vols. Thats insane to say but its true. This coaching staff ain't it and it starts at the top.

I don't think he's a better coach than Heupel, but apparently he does know coaching and player talent. To completely flip the roster and field a product like we've seen so far this season, is pretty darned incredible. I'm not a fan of Neon Deon, but I have to give him props for what he's accomplished. They looked a helluva lot better than we did last night and Heupel is in his 3rd season. Those kids balled for him. It also helps that he's got a real playmaker at QB who just happens to be his son. When he ran off all those other kids and pronounced his son the starter, I thought he'd crash and burn. Obviously, that hasn't happened...yet. It's a helluva story to be sure.I'm not sure if Deion is a better coach either but I'm sure his team would put up far too many points for TN to handle.
