Here's another one that isn't worth that much but is one of my favorites, and possibly the coolest cover ever IMO.

These aren't worth much, but I'm a huge Bond fan so I had to have them. #1 of 2

Man, I live about an hour away from Wilmington and have never been there. Is it sweet?!

It's not that big but they keep a good stock and the guy that runs it knows his books and makes great recommendations once he knows what you like.

The best store I've been to is Atomic Comics in Johnson City. It's huge, has just about any book you are looking for and is ran by one of the most friendly guys you could ever meet. I've spent hours there just hanging out talking comics.

Dang I might try to hit that up next time I go up to Knoxville.

Ha! I worked at Atomik as a teenager. Shawn was the best man in my wedding!

He's a great guy. I hope he's doing well. I haven't been there to see him since I moved down here to NC six years ago.

He's good. He got married and has a 1 year old little boy he is spoiling rotten.

Having 3 little ones myself we don't get to hang out as much these days but we keep in touch. I was down there Saturday but he was busy and the kids were antsy so it wasn't much of a visit.

When I was 10-12 in the early 80's, there was an antique store in downtown Kingsport run by an nice, older gentleman. He had stacks and stacks of Silver and Bronze age comics that I would sit and rummage through. I ended up buying several Avengers comics from the 60's (the oldest being #8). He had more Fantastic Four than anything, and I remember sitting there reading FF #48 (first appearance Silver Surfer), but choosing not to buy it. Still kicking myself over that one.

Still have all those old Avengers, too. I'll post some pics later if I can remember.

When I was about 10 years old there were some guys selling comics out of their car in the parking lot of Mt Empire Comics in JC. I was into old Hulk comics which they had a lot of.

They offered me Hulk 181 (first Wolverine) for $20. It was in VF+ condition too. Probably a $1400 book today.... I only had $10 so I bought issues 202-205 instead.

I have a very pretty copy of Giant Size X-men #1, then a long run from issue #94 up until I quit collecting in the mid-2000's. I think it was 2006 or 07 when I stopped. I also have Incredible Hulk #181.

The Giant-Size comics are cool. I've got a #1 in that as well..

Search the title and issue # on eBay. Then go to completed listings. The ones that sold are the rough value.
