I don't mind listening to Dykes. His cheesy catch phrases each game do get old, though.

i think tobias and cam are better FT shooters then those %'s insist...those %'s will def improve as the season goes on.

The Vols right now are the class if the SEC. It doesn't matter who is on the sidelines for those 8 games, they're going to win most of them anyway. The SEC just isn't very good overall.

I think some Tennessee fans have a serious inferiority complex in regards to dealing with any sports media organizations comments regarding Tenn. or their perception of Tennessee, especially ESPN, that stems back to Peyton Manning getting denied the Heisman. ESPN doesnt have a bias against UT, but when your coach cheats and lies, then there are not too many people that are going to say good things about your program despite how well your team is playing.

Maybe not the SEC West, but the East is full of good teams. Even UGA and S.Carolina are decent this year.

We have four tourney quality teams in the East alone.

Dykes also said that Terrence Jones has a "lil Wayne Chism in him" when he trailed on the play and hit a 3. I geeked hard...

Those #'s may not be great, but a lil known fact about this team is that EVERY returning player from last season... ALL 7 of them are shooting a higher FT% this season than they shot last season and that says something about the time and energy these kids have put into FT shooting over the off-season.

I can't wait to see how we fare against PITT this weekend!

If we run the table on Nova, Pitt and UConn, doesn't that give us at least a share of the Big East regular season title? :)

It actually goes back to 1956(?) when Johnny Majors was denied the Heisman... My dad was STILL as mad about that even after Peyton was denied... 41 years later! Hence the UT underdog mentality was born and nurtured. We didn't have ESPN then, so it was all those dang Notre Dame lovin' sportswriters back east!

Didn't they also give some love to Chism....when Jones hit a three ball in the 2nd half he made a reference to Wayne. Basically was saying how any big man who shoots the tre that probably shouldn't and actually makes it 'is pulling a Wayne Chism'. I got a kick out of it.

I really enjoy watching this team, and I'm certain they will only get better by years end...which is quite scary thinking about how deep, young, motivated and intense this team is. I think the best is yet to come when JM hits his stride and gets chemistry with this team, Bone getting healthy and bringing even more intensity to our on ball defense in the backcourt, and I believe Jordan will blossom into a solid 3 by years end, with his length and athleticism....

But oh do I miss Big Wayne out there playing his gluteus maximus off. Losing his head band, yanking down offensive boards, kicking JP when he's on the ground, always smiling and having fun...and how can I forget the classic SEC tourny quote. "Every second I'm here talking to you, is another second I'm not at waffle house." Great basketball player and great for UT.
