Utterly ridiculous article. The guy has to travel at some point and trying to find symbolism in it is silly.

Rebuking his comments makes sense, but crap like this is the driver behind uber- contentious political environment.

I wonder if anything this man has said in the past 2 years has opened any of the Obama supporters eyes, just even a little???? If not, this country is done.

You know that I think the guy's a clown and complete phony, but he alone won't be our undoing. Politics has boiled down to votebuying, as many predicted of a representative republic, and we've let the lowest common denominator dictate policy, across the breadth of our politics, and that will be our undoing. That said, I don't get the feel that the sky will land anytime soon.

We won't remain a lone superpower and wot dictate economically forever, but that has been true from the beginning. We will remain a regional hegemon for the foreseeable future and will remain the most innovative economic player for same.

I've listened to many sermons about the book of Revelations and they always say that America will have very little to no influence on the world. They all seem to believe that a relatively poor to what it used to be.

seeing all these countries calling for one currency is very consistent from what many pastors are saying concerning Revelations.

What does revelations have to do with it? Every generation of every dominant civilization has been arrogat enough to presume themselves a part of that story and all have been wrong.

that's not true. it's still being played out. if you read any part of the Bible that talks about the last days, you'll see many parrallels of what is going on today with what the Bible says. I mean you can't deny that we are heading for a one world government. the signs are definitely there.

Come on. The same signs have always been there. Revelations was most likely about Nero and then bastardized to fit every power that has come along.

The country would be "done" for the detractors. I would be disingenous if I told you that I wasn't dissapointed in the President, but as I have said before no one should underestimate this man, particularly Republicans. His political ability and appeal is very high among the youth and minorities.

The problem he is facing right now is alienation of two groups. Conservatives hate the man, so there is little compromise there. However, there is a rift occurring within the base and the middle. The left wants to purge blue dogs from the party and are dissapointed that the President hasn't brought the entirety of the troops home and repealed the bush cuts -- which I might add The White House is keeping, for now, which is good in my book. The middle still likes him but is uncertain, mainly because of the economy.

He hasn't lost his mojo yet, but I would be naive to say he isn't sliding.

It was about Nero and the persecution of Christians within Rome. References to "Babylon" were thinly veiled references to it's then modern equivalent: Rome.


Joevol, believe what you want, but people have been claiming that "this is it" for 1,000 years. It isn't it. "It" is a figment of a misunderstanding of context and meaning.
