Interesting comments from the co-host Ryen on this show: He basically said that UT is one of the most frustrating teams to watch because their halfcourt offensive sets are horrible and painful to watch but that they give maximum effort and more effort than the opponent 99% of the time.

He must be a Jew hater.

I agree. Why can't we get a half-court offense? When we're hitting threes and creating turnovers we can beat anybody; but when we're not we get owned by USC.

That sums it up nicely.

And this is why 9-18 from behind the arc was so big. Another thing that is painful to watch is our free-throw shooting. Everytime we got fouled I started to hold my breath.

He obviously has many axes to grind, hates Jews and likely every minority, doesn't understand the game, wants winning scores in the 50 point range, just wants Hatvol to like him, wants CPB fired, TN to fail, and doesn't realize there was no basketball program at TN before CPB was here and if he left we would clearly need to shut down the entire program.

Yea but.........

We just beat the number 1 team in the country with 6 scollies and 3 wo's --- it must be working a little bit. Regardless of the offense, I think most coaches would take 16 assists, 8 turnovers against the number 1 team in the country.

You could also make the analogy that the Alabama football offense lacked imagination, was predictable, didn't flow well, and wasn't balanced against Texas so Saban is not a very good coach. He just caught some breaks defensively and I don't think Alabama will ever get to where they want to be in football.

I'm not taking away from yesterday's win, at all. It was great and I was jumping up and down yelling at the TV. However, for every win over the Kansas' and Memphis' there is also a beatdown by USC, Temple, etc. Under Coach we have big wins and we have big losses. There's not really an in between...especially when it comes tournament time

Please go through the beat downs we've received under CBP in the NCAA tourney other than Louisville . . .

Tyler standing at the top of the key doing that little leg kick/feint, then working the ball around some more, then doing it again, etc. I love the good things Tyler did for this program, but it feels like now a blockage has been removed from the Vols' basketball arteries. Much better flow. Penetration, cutters, backdoor passes, everybody in motion.

Big losses doesn't mean beatdowns. It means losing to an underachieving Oklahoma State team in the first round when we had the exact same team as this year, basically

So your saying that you would like to see some sort of consistency from your program, like winning the games you should and advancing in the tourney?

Not winning some big games here and there and losing some stupid games here and there...then underachieving in the tourney against lesser teams with the same squad who defeated bigger teams during the season?

Rubbish.

I've been saying the exact same thing for 3 years.

I hardly watch Tennessee basketball anymore because they are too frustrating to watch. The half court offense is disgusting half the time.

They need to play like they played last night EVERY NIGHT. Be aggressive. It's when they get lazy and chuck up 30+ threes in a game when it's frustrating.

I agree. It felt like the other players were just standing around waiting for him to do something amazing or drop them an easy assist

So you're not a real fan.... I see. Maybe Buzz can be brought back to satisfy you. Losing records are awesome.

If you didn't watch yesterday's game, you missed on hell of a good game. It was edge of the seat excitement at it's height. Watching the football team can be frustrating, as well. Jut be a Vol fan and turn the tube on and support them. If you can't bring yourself to do that, maybe pick another team?

The max effort comments were not correct. We have some 2s and 3s that just don't get after it, especially if things aren't going well.

Before these past 2 games I would have agreed with you, but after the Charlotte & Kansas games this team looks like a new reenergized determined team.

That might be the case, but he's just regurgitating media tripe from a couple years ago, when it was probably true.
