Just heard a piece on NPR about those commercials. Apparently those speechless scenes were while the camera was rolling before the celebs were supposed to deliver their lines. Then the director realized "how powerful" the silent message was and ran with it.

Having heard that, I think that may have been the case with one or two of them but then they started scripting it after that.

Even knowing that I still find the commercials annoying.

Lily got dramatically hotter over the evolution of her commercials. In her early ones she was "sort of cute" at best.

The commercial with Kenny Rogers playing poker. I think I've seen it roughly 20,000 times by now and I still don't know what it's advertising.

Dr Pepper temporarily took over with that idiot talking about the playoffs. Hopefully we won't see that crap again now that college football is over.

That was a serious question.
You find the commercials ineffective there for I logically conclude you want something vastly different or different.

No where at all do I say your in favor of it, its a freakin question to get information.

Any NFL Duracell commercials when they end on cliffhangers.

My apologies. I don't work in advertising. I have no interest in making them. I'd have the same problem I find in most commercials, I think I could find something creative for a 30 second spot, but I wouldn't be good at tying it to a specific product. I just know those commercials don't work.

The Matthew McConaughey Lincoln commercials were just weird before the hilarious Jim Carey parodies, know I just can't watch them without laughing. However, it seems to diminish the brand, and I actually really like the MKZ. They may need to opt for a new campaign, but maybe long term it actually works.
