Conference Tournament Week Thread

Great, a ****ty Santa Barbara team will make it ahead of a legitimately good Long Beach team that had upset potential.

In a battle for the Great West championship, South Dakota leads North Dakota 24-14 at the half

The Great West has a weird setup. They have schools from North and South Dakota, California, Utah, Texas, Illinois, and New Jersey.

Crazy finish at MSG. Marra for L'ville fouled on a three while down three...misses one of three, attempted to miss the third, and made it. UConn 67, Cards 66 with 3.3 to play.

Wow what an impressive tournament run by Connecticut. Five wins in five straight days. Big East champs.

Great game. I love March

UConn is red-hot right now and Kemba is going all Kemba on everyone. Now, think about the fact that they just played five games in five days. How far do you take them in the tournament?

Four games today and one of them has massive bubble implications. Seeding on Crashing the Dance next to the record.

Atlantic 10 Championship: Dayton (22-12) vs. Richmond (26-7, 11 seed)
SEC Championship: Kentucky (24-8, 4 seed) vs. Florida (26-6, 2 seed)
ACC Championship: North Carolina (26-6, 2 seed) vs. Duke (29-4, 1 seed)
Big Ten Championship: Penn State (19-13, 9 seed) vs. Ohio State (31-2, 1 seed)

Note on PSU as a 9 seed: he's already explained that Penn St. and Michigan St. are both overvalued by the system, so expect both to be about one seed line to high (which would put PSU as a 10 in the actual bracket and MSU as an 11).

BP gets abused for having bad plays or results at the end of games. Some of it may be warranted, but I hope people are watching these games. The coaches put the ball in the hands of the PG down the stretch and tell them to make a play. Its always been that way. Fade away 3's and penetration are the norm. We just don't have that luxury this year. Players make coaches look like geniuses or goats, depending on if the last second shot falls or not. The Washington PG shot was terrible, but it went in, so its a "great stepback 3" according to Bilas. If he misses, its a horrible look. Such is basketball.

If Pearl had a player like Washington, Walker or even Knight, those are good looks that he will take every time. If you don't, then you gotta find another way, which has been an issue.

Rooting for Kentucky. Definitely feels a little weird, but Florida honestly doesn't deserve a 2 seed. They aren't THAT good.

Lunardi moved UK up to a 3 seed after yesterday. I agree with 120...Florida doesn't look like a 2 seed either.
