Conference Tournament Week Thread

Fear the Monarchs! Go Big Blue. I would have loved to see them beat George Mason for the CAA title to make more of a statement, but there's something special about beating your rival for the conference title, especially since the CAA Tourney is in Richmond every year. Frank Hassell is the real freaking deal and Blaine Taylor is a heck of a coach. They shouldn't get anything lower than a 9 seed, they don't have any true bad losses, aside from maybe the Delaware loss, but we bounced back to beat them later in the regular season and in the CAA Tourney.

I'd say ODU gets an 8 seed.

And in local interest, MTSU is battling Arkansas-Little Rock for a spot in the Sun Belt final on CSS.

The loss to Charleston looks worse now.

Eh, not really. Had they lost to a 300+ RPI team or something it would've been worse.

Really disappointing to see this happen, though. I still think Goudelock could've done a bit of damage by himself in the Big Dance. Oh well. Same thing on Norris Cole and Cleveland State. America misses out on seeing two of the most underrated players out there take on top competition.

I thought they'd get in the First Four due to name power, but it looks like it'll be St. Mary's in one of those games instead.
A lot of teams have similar resumes. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Crazy: out of the eight auto-bids handed out so far, only one was to a regular season champ (Belmont).

Don't know if I've seen a more disjointed late-game possession not by Tennessee than what I just saw from Seton Hall.

And Seton Hall was saved by the fact that Jeremy Hazell exists. OT!

North Texas taking on Arkansas-Little Rock for the Sun Belt crown on ESPN2. Personally, I want the Mean Green to win.
