Confirmed Visitors Today

Last night was an embarrassment, & probably just convinced them to go elsewhere. I truly hope not, but I don't see how a recruit could watch that game & either be impressed or think progress was made.

The recruits sit down below me in X3. Saw Clear, Thomas, Wright, Saulsberry, Crowder, and Posey for certain. The visitors section was packed. Posey is a monster and looks like he's 30 with the beard. LOL. I saw Brian Williams and Swiper go down through there too. The recruits all seemed interested in the Vol B Ball team walking through.

I saw them too plus loften. I thought Posey was a parent at first glance, dude looks like a manchild.

i stood by him at the Vol walk several weeks ago. he is indeed a big boy. a year or 2 under wylie and he will look like he is out of a comic book.

hey, TylerD,

I've been out of the loop on the Rock. did you paint it up for anyone?

Nope. Nobody seemed eager to make it happen so I didn't worry about it. I would have if people donated and came up with some ideas or something.

Recruits are not stupid. They knew what Bama was going to do to us before they came.

Wow, I'm staying out of the FB forum for a while...people over there have totally lost it. After all the talk of having patience in the off season and a 6-6 record was the best we could possibly do they are all up in arms about the fact that we have the record everyone expected us to have at this point..... Anyone know for certain which recruits made it in and any real news or are we playing the waiting game to find some stuff out at this point?

I know these guys were here for sure: Bigelow, Clear, Pagan, Loften, Coleman, Saulsberry, Williams, Posey, Kiel, Carson, and Tino.

VQ says Therezie may have been here.

Doesn't look like Crowell came.

I hope Bigelow and Pagan enjoyed their visits and the coaching staff can pull some magic and sway them from UW and UF...I may be dreaming but that would be awesome.

Maurice Couch was NOT here, he will be here for the Ole Miss game. Pat Martin did'nt come but will be at the game next week against USCe, & Chickillo did'nt make it in because he had complications with his flight but he said he WILL make an OV to Tennessee.

While yesterday's performance could affect our recruiting somewhat, I don't really think it will. Everyone of our committs as well as the other recruits knew that Bama was probably going to win. The fact that we came out and gave the show that we did in the first half I know had to be a positive for them. To be quite honest if we did have those committs and recruits on the field we probably could've hung better in the second half and it's not just a sales pitch. I think a lot of ppl forget that after the season is over there is still 2-3 months in which a lot of recruiting goes on and takes place. The season isn't an after thought but typically isn't as focused as if they would've been visiting during the season (great call by Dooley). The 2-3 months Dooley and Co. will have in in-home's will pay dividends.

Saulsberry & Williams on their visit

“Yea, I really enjoyed it, and the scenery was beautiful, way different form Florida. The game was just mind-blowing how many people were there,” Saulsberry said.

Williams said, "I absolutely loved everything about it."
- VQ, Fortenberry

They also said that they talked to alot of the committed players & they all seem very committed in turning this program back around, Williams said that he was suprised about how well the Vols played in the 1st half & that it seemed like the defense just got tired in the 2nd half.
