It's easy to understand. You would rather a school lose respect by playing a school that is not even classified in their level. Maybe since the Raiders are doing so bad this season they should challenge a college team. Auburn played I-AA Citadel in 2004 and lost respect. That's like a high schooler trying to get respect by beating up a sixth grader. If Florida had scheduled a I-AA team this year, ESPN would have a field day with that as a reason for them being excluded from the national championship.

Winning the CiC trophy is like winning a beauty contest for 300+ pound women. It's nice, but you really haven't accomplished much.

I never said they were world beaters. I clearly stated that they are the best service academy over the last 10 years. :dunno:

They have 2 and Navy has 3. I thought the best way to decide which service academy was better was head-to-head. Guess how you do in games that aren't related makes FAR more sense. :crazy:

It would for teams that tend to have losing records like the service academies do. It's a big accomplishment for any of those teams to have a winning season nowadays. Navy has been doing that lately. Air Force hasn't.

isn't this all pointless if USC or Notre Dame win out and finish with only one loss? The BCS will pick either one or the loser of the Ohio State/Michigan game for the NCG. Florida will be on the outside looking in, even if they do win the SECCG.

Vanderbilt is getting better. It wasn't that long ago beating them about 48-0 was the norm, for everyone.

Maybe if OSU changes their name to Central OSU, Florida can win the national championship.

No really, good luck to you, I would love to see you OSU although it won't happen. Tebow should be the starter for you guys.

FWIW - Western Carolina is not only a Div. 1-AA team; they are a very bad 1-AA team. They are currently 2-9.

UF's OOC schedule isn't going to impress the voters. UCF is 3-8, So. Miss is 7-4, WCU is D1-AA and 2-9 and FSU is 6-5.
